Carlo Ancelotti has mentioned that should Everton miss the Europa League qualification, transfer plans ahead of next season will still be unchanged.

The Italian revealed that although European qualification would be tough judging from the competitive nature of the Premier League yet his team is still focused.

"We are not talking about the next season. We are focused on this season and with or without Europa our plan for the future is clear,” Ancelotti told the Liverpool Echo.

“It would be a big achievement for all of us at the club if all the supporters could see European games but it is a long way to go.

Everton are 12 on the League table with 41 points after 31 games – 13 points off top-four place and four points difference between the Toffees and Eight placed Burnley.

The club looked more likely to be tackling a relegation battle after they sacked Marco Silva with the club in the Premier League’s bottom three at the beginning of December.

Qualification could be guaranteed if they manage to secure the eight spot depending on the final verdict of Manchester City’s European ban and who wins the FA Cup.

Ancelotti’s side will play Leicester on Wednesday afternoon, Spurs on Monday, July 6, and Southampton Thursday, July 9, 2020.

"Not long because there are not a lot of games. It will be difficult but it is a possibility and we have to fight for the possibility. The next two games we play strong teams Leicester and Tottenham and Sheffield United. There are a lot of teams involved, so it will be exciting.”
