Kasper Schmeichel says his game against Switzerland on Saturday afternoon was one of the best performances he has produced for Denmark.
Denmark scored a late goal against Switzerland to go level on points with the Republic of Ireland in Group C of the Euro 2020 Qualifiers although the Swiss have a game in hand against Ireland on Tuesday.
“We battled for the whole game, there was a tremendous atmosphere. I think that was one of my best performances for Denmark,” he said.
Both teams were unbeaten in the Euro Qualifiers and looked forward to extend their unbowed starts. The match was balanced between the two sides and produced a goalless draw in the first 45-minutes of play infront of a greater number of fans at the Parken Stadium. The second half needed Kasper Schmeichel to keep the Danes in the game by making four crucial saves, with one off his own team-mate.

Poulsen broke the dead lock when all thought the spoils have been shared between the two sides. It was a massive goal in Copenhagen and unsurprisingly Christian Eriksen was involved. His lovely reverse pass set Yussuf Poulsen on his way through the middle, and he made no mistake in guiding his shot past Sommer in post in the 84-minute of the game.
Denmark, as it stands, are going level on points with the Republic of Ireland in Group D. the Leicester keeper was voted as the man of the match.
