The three Lions of England made up for Friday’s loss to Czech Republic by recording a 6-0 victory over Bulgaria amidst racist chants directed at Marcus Rashford, Raheem Sterling and Tyron Mings. Kosovo’s 2-0 win over Montenegro kept them tab on Czech Republic and England which denied the three Lions an early qualification on the night and needed to hold on for another day.

 

 

Five changes were made by Gareth Southgate- Tyrone Mings made his debut while Harry Winks and Ross Barkley were restored to the midfield. Ben Chilwell replaced suspended Danny Rose and Marcus Rashford got the nod over Jadon Sancho.

England’s first goal came as early as the 7-minute through Marcus Rashford.

 

 

The Manchester United star picked the ball up on the left and dribbled his way into the box. With a quick shift of the shoulders, he opened up the space for a shot from a tight angle and connected with a rasping drive that went like a rocket into the roof of the net.

Ross Barkley gave England the second goal 13-minutes later after a fantastic workout from England's front-line. Sterling played a quick-fire one-two with Kane and got in behind the deep back five of Bulgaria. He presented down on goal down the right and half-volleyed a ball across the line, which was turned home from two yards by Barkley. 

 

 

The Chelsea man secured the third from a Kane’s perfect cross in the 32-minute. Raheem Sterling added a forth-in additional time to close the first half.

Kane got his goal outside the box and nutmegged his marker on the edge before bursting through on goal. He hit ball straight into the bottom corner to give the visitors a deservedly victory although thier qualification was put on hold.

 

 

England top Group A with 15 points followed by Czech Republic with 12. Kosovo is trailed on third with 11 points tracking the top two for a chance to qualify.
