Etoile Du Sahel has touched down in Kumasi this morning for their CAF Champions League game with Asante Kotoko Football Club.

The Tunisians arrived in Ghana on Friday afternoon with a Chartered Military Airline. They were expected to fly straight from Tunis to the Kumasi Airport but were denied due to Aviation rules.

The team arrived in the capital of the Ashanti Region with 42 contingents; 19 players, 15 officials and 8 crew members.

Etoile Du Sahel were winners of the CAF Champions league in 2007. Their meeting with the Porcupine Warriors at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium has been tipped as one of the toughest test in the first round of the preliminary stage of the competition. Etoile walked on Hafia Club of Guinea 8-3 on aggregate and has been pronounced favorites in their encounter with Kotoko in both legs due to their consistency in CAF's competition.

In due of that, Kumasi Asante Kotoko players have been stimulated a sum of $2,000 each should they eliminate the Tunisians and advance into the Group stage of the CAF Champions League.

Supporters of the Kotoko fraternity have been called by the management to occupy the Baba Yara Stadium to cheer the team to victory with a convincing scoreline.

Kotoko eliminated Kano Pillars 4-3 on aggregate. They lost 3-2 at the General Sani Abacha Stadium and conquered their West Africa neighbors by 2-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
