Villa celebrate second goal

Aston Villa have won their two Premier League games for the first time since 1999-2000, under John Gregory.

The visitors beat Fulham by 3-0 at Craven Cottage.

Grealish, Hourihane and Mings were on the scoresheet for the visitors as they picked up the maximum points in the game.

Villa took the lead as early as the 4-minute. McGinn picked the ball up on the right of midfield, with Grealish running in-behind. He found him with a beautifully lofted ball into the box.

Grealish had a lot to do, but Areola made his mind up for him, half coming, half staying, and allowed Grealish to poke the ball under him from an angle.

Fulham reacted well and took possession of the game, taking the ball to Villa at their own half. The visitors were careful and kept the blocks alive which prevented Fulham from creating any decent chance.

Hourihane doubled the scores in the 15-minute, assisted by McGinn.

It was a lovely move as Watkins released Grealish into the box on the left after a one-two. Grealish squared for McGinn, who laid it off for Hourihane to slot home low into the bottom right corner with his weaker right foot!

It's brilliant again from Grealish, and from McGinn, who needs a big game for Villa after a low key last few months.

The visitors were in total control of the game and kept threatening the Fulham defence with most of their move upfront.

Tyron Mings scored his first goal of the campaign three minutes into the second half tracking Hourihane beautifully directed his free-kick from deep. Fulham played the offside trap, but Mings raced and got a touch on the cross before Areola, which rolled into the net. VAR checked for a possible offside but after seconds of review, the goal was allowed to stand.

The Cottagers kept pushing Villa for a breakthrough but Villa did everything they can to keep the clean sheet.

Fulham remain without a point and at the foot of the table while Villa have won both of their opening matches.
