Jimenez celebrate opener.

It took two goals in six minutes for Wolverhampton Wanderers to record a win in their opening Premier League fixture against Sheffield United.

Raul Jimenez and R.Saiss scored the early goals for Nuno Espirito Santos team, the earliest any side has ever scored twice in their opening match of a Premier League campaign.

The first goal was a quick break from Wolves as Podence burst away from Lundstram and produced an excellent cross to pick out Jimenez, who had acres of space in the penalty area.

The striker produces a brilliant finish, side-footing the ball past Ramsdale to give them a promising start.

As Chris Wilders's side begun to settle Saiss doubled the lead in the 6-minute.

This time it was Neto who whipped in an out-swinging corner and Saiss stepped away before powering a header past Ramsdale.

Although it was early, yet the game seems out of hand for the home side as they were caged in the first half from causing any threats to the Wolves defense.

Sheffield United after the break looked a different side but the visitors kept the water still and tried capitalizing on the few chances they were presented.

Saiss almost added his second and Wolves third when Jimenez run straight at the heart of the Sheffield United defense and played him on. He got a shot away but Ramsdale with the tip of hands directs the ball towards the post. A rebound fell to Jimenez but he struggled to connect as he struck the ball wide off the post.

It was an intense pressing, which at the end produced no yield for the Blades at the latter part of the game before the final whistle was blown.
