EPL DAY 6: Foxes respond TWICE to BLOW Spurs lead - Leicester 2 - 1 Tottenham Hotspurs
Leicester City win at the King Power

Mauricio Pochettino’s side for the third time in four games took the lead and blew it after going melon in the day six of the Premier League early kickoff.

Brendan Rodger’s side quickly responded with two goals to occupy the third spot on the Premier League table at the King Power Stadium.

Hugo Lloris was absent from the Tottenham squad, with Paulo Gazzaniga in goal in his place. Lloris' wife gave birth in the build-up to today's game and he didn't travel to the King Power. Davinson Sanchez and Dele Alli also did not travel to the East Midlands, while Christian Eriksen, Lucas Moura and Ben Davies were on the bench.

Erik Lamela, Moussa Sissoko, Danny Rose, Serge Aurier and Heung-min Son all featured on to play against Leicester.

Ayoze Perez was one of two Leicester changes Brendan Rodgers made from the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United last weekend. He replaced Demarai Gray, who was on the bench, alongside Hamza Choudhury who was dropped for Harvey Barnes for what seem to be a return to a 4-2-3-1.

Ndidi gave Leicester City the lead in the 15-minute but his effort was overruled by VAR. Gazzaniga spilled the ball from Tieleman’s shot and the rebound was bundled home by Ndid after a scrum on the six yard box. Ndidi was recognized in an offside position by VAR.

Sissoko took the yellow card for a wrecking tackle on Maddison not far from the edge of the penalty area. Leicester came close in taking the lead in the 29-minute. Perez skipped past a Wink’s challenge, fed Vardy on the edge of the box and the number 9 got nearly to the by line before trying to pull it back for him. The ball deflected on Alderweireld but with Pereira already sliding in, he could only take it behind for a goal kick.

Just after the Foxes opportunity, Harry Kane put the visitors ahead. Son played in on the shoulder of the last man and backheeled the ball to Lamela for Kane behind him. Kane took over and got knocked off balance by Soyunchu but he refused to give up hope. He hit the ball into the top corner past a stranded Schmeichel.

Leicester started the second half strongly seeking to respond. They pressed Spurs hard till their effort paid off. Barnes slipped Vardy down the left of the box, he pulled the ball across and it hooked clear towards the edge of the box. Pereira was totally unmarked when the loose ball fell for him. He powered it home from 12 yards to level the scores.

Eriksen replaces Lamela after Spurs came close in the 79-minute. Son paced away into the box after a nice little interchange with Aurier. He smacked the ball across the six-yard box with Schmeichel getting down low to clear it away.

Maddison thundered in the winner in 85-minute. What a hit it was. He took a touch from a pass off the left to set himself and rocketed the ball low into the bottom corner past Gazzaniga’s despairing dive.

Moura replaced Indombele three minutes to full time. The referee after additional time blasted the whstle to hop Leicester into the third spot.
