Soyuncu and Vardy’s second half goals pushed the Foxes to third, two points behind Manchester City after a remarkable performance at the Selhurst Park on Sunday.

Jamie Vardy is now the leading goal scorer with 10 goals after a hot streak of goals for his side.

The opening minutes of the game saw both sides sensationally miss opportunities on goals to be ahead. Maddison lashed a fierce strike straight at Guaita after opening up space infront of Barnes in the 5-minute as Palace responded after Tielemans gave the ball away cheaply in midfield yet McArthur’s first-time shot was blocked before it could reach the target.

Leicester begun to show one or two signs to turn the screw, with Maddison's influence growing with each passing second. They asked real questions of the Palace defence now.

Tielemans got his head up in midfield and threaded a great ball between Cahill and Tomkins to release Vardy through on goal, but there was just touch too much pace on the ball as Guaita gathered.

The second half saw Palace come to life in attack but refuse to punish the visitors through Ayew and Zaha. The Foxes kept knocking for the opener as Guaita denied after a powerful header on target from Evans. He tipped it behind for a corner.

Leicester brokekthrough in the 57-minute after Soyuncu pounded in a header from a threatening James Maddison assist. He whipped a sumptuous corner into the box - Cahill fell asleep and lost the Turkish, whose stooping header left Guaita with no chance.

Palace came close after they remained on the attack with Ward driving down the right flank. He drifted inside onto his left foot, but his curling shot was straight down the throat of Schmeichel.

Vardy wrapped up the three points for Leicester two minutes to full time after their first victory at Selhurst Park in three years.

Tielemans played a pass inside to Vardy on the edge of the area. He offloaded it to Gray and then spinned away from his marker to get on the end of Gray's return pass and, after a one-touch move of the highest order, he dispatched low past Guaita.
