Energy Minister Blames  Current Power Outages  On Burnt of Aboadze  Switchyard Plant
The Minister of Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has blamed the recent power outages on the burnt Aboadze switchyard plant.
According to him, the burning of the Aboadze switchyard plant has led to the recent intermittent power outages in some parts of the country.
Speaking at the Ministry of Information press series, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh admitted that parts of the nation are experiencing power outages (Dumsor), but his ministry is working tirelessly to solve the situation.
The Minister added that they are also changing some lines that are outdated, which is also the cause of the recent power outages.
He also called on Ghanaians to bear with the Energy Ministry, because things are not working well with them, but they hope to get on top of the problem.
There have been recent concerns too about the resurgence of a ‘dumsor’ era and it is the hope that the minister will speak about these too.
