Veteran Nigerian singer, 2Face Idibia has shown less of a concern to a lawsuit against himself and 49 other celebrities over their involvement in the #Endsars protest.

One barrister Kenechukwu Okeke, with the Twitter username @HumanRightsNG, had filed a criminal complaint against Nigerian singers in the likes of Tu Baba, Davido, Yemi Alade, Falz, etc., which also includes social media influencers like Pamilerin Adegoke, Moe Odele, Mr Macaroni, Deji Adeyanfu, Aisha Yesufu and many others.

According to him, the protesters between October 28 and October 30, 2020, the defendants used their Twitter accounts to conspire amongst themselves to “commit misdemeanour, to wit promoting or acting in such a manner with intent to assist in the promotion of an unlawful assembly under the guise or composition of #EndSARS”.

In reaction, 2face in a statement by his manager Efe Omorogbe, described the suit as a mere social media stunt for attention.

Efe stated: “There’s no comment yet. We have not been served any paper. We have not received any formal summon.''

He added that the lawsuit remains idle until a summon is received from the court.

“We can’t respond to what is merely trending on social media until we receive a summon we can’t respond.”
