Emmanuel Agyei receives four Months Prison Sentence

Emmanuel Agyei, a suspect who broke into a young lady's room to steal two phones and an amount of over c100 has been sentenced to four months at the Nsawam prison custody.

The thief barged into a house at Mmoayem locality in Akuapem Mampong on early hours of Tuesday, January 5, 2021, broke into a lady called Abigail's room after she has left her room in the early hours to perform normal daily cleaning routine duties.

Agyei pleaded guilty to stealing when he appeared before the Akuapem Mampong Magistrate court on Friday, January 22, 2021, but told the court that the two phones he stole had its screens already broken before it came to his possession.

The presiding judge at the Mampong Magistrate court, Madam Rhoda K. Donkor after hearing the prosecution found the suspect guilty of the offence and sentenced him to four months imprisonment.

According to the judge, Emmanuel Agyei is juvenile and it will be unfair to punish him more than necessary on his first time.
