Electoral Commission to announce Presidential results at 5pm
The Commission has called for on the political parties and media to quit declaring results since its the only institution mandated to do so.

The Electoral Commission of Ghana has issued a release inviting the media to the Accra International Conference Center to declare the winner of the Presidential elections.
The EC prior to elections guaranteed that the presidential election results will be declared within 24 hours after polls and the commission has retold on achieving it at 5 pm to the people of Ghana.

The Commission reminded that its National collation centre in Accra will be receiving collated Presidential results from Ghana's 16 regions reminding that “it remains the legally mandated body to declare presidential elections in Ghana.
"As such, candidates, their supporters, the media and public are urged to desist from declaring Presidential election results as this is in contravention of the law and a threat to the peace and stability of the nation.”
