50 electrical experts from the Ghanaian military are aiding the personnel of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in the Krobo district with the installation of new prepaid meters.

The installation of new prepaid meters for the district has been ECG's top priority, according to the company.

It went on to say that the district has outstanding debts that must be paid, but that they are working with assembly members, stakeholders, and pressure organizations to do so.

To fix this issue, the district will need to purchase a new prepaid meter and will pay the unpaid bills over five years.

Some consumers have agreed to have their prepaid meters serviced, while others have refused, putting EGC in jeopardy.
