Eastern North Regional Police Commander ACP Kwadjo Asante Cited In Chieftaincy Dispute At Kwahu Amid His Removal

The Chiefs in Kwahu Traditional Area led by Paramount Queen-mother have accused the Eastern North Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP ) Mr Kwadjo Asante for deeply meddling himself in the protracted chieftaincy dispute Kwahu Traditional Area in the Eastern Region.

Against this backdrop, the traditional leaders 
have appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare and the National Security to immediately ensure the transfer of Eastern North Regional Police Commander (Kwahu) ACP Kwadjo Asante from his current duty from Kwahu.

The Paramount Queen-mother of Kwahu Traditional Area "KWAHUHEMAA, Nana Adwoa Gyemfuah lll, has accused "ACP Kwadjo Asante," of allegedly fueling chieftaincy dispute at Kwahu.

He called on IGP to transfer this Police officer for being the brain behind the chieftaincy dispute in Kwahu instead of ensuring law and order.

She argued that ACP Kwadjo Asante cannot or don’t have chieftaincy capacity to decide who to be installed to ascend the throne of Kwahu Paramount Stool.

On his part, the Chief of Kwahu Tafo, Nana Opoku Mintah lll, added his voice by appealing to the IGP for security protection at Kwahu Traditional Area against Chieftancy disputes intervention in Kwahu to avert any conflict.

He further indicated that, a New Paramount Chief "KWAHUHENE" is installed with due process Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III, by the Kwahu Kingsmakers and proceedings are ongoing to finalize his gazette with Law.

"We, the people of Kwahu are peaceful and law abiding citizens and that we are appealing to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare to,  as a matter of urgency quickly deploy some security in Kwahu Abene  Palace to protect the people in the community as a result of any chieftaincy dispute in the Traditional Area," they appealed.

The Paramount Queen-mother on behalf of the chiefs made the call when he was addressing all the Chiefs in the Kwahu Communities when observing their first AKWASIDAE with the newly installed Paramount Chief "KWAHUHENE" Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III,* at his Palace" to welcome him with love and Peace.

Speaking on behalf of "KWAHUHENE" Acheamfour Asiedu Agyemang lll, the Chief of Kwahu Abetifi expressed his excitement for meeting  almost all the chiefs in Kwahu the communities.

He thanked the chiefs fo joining the newly installed KWAHUHENE, Nana Akuamoah Boateng lll, at his Palace to Celebrate the first "AKWASIDAE" 

"I am thanking and t all the Chiefs for their immerse support to welcome and Celebrates the Akwasidea with the "KWAHUHENE" to pledge their commitment in supporting Nana Akuamoah Boateng lll," he noted
