E-Levy finally takes effect from May 1.

The government of the Republic believes the country will gain positive results when the Levy takes effect.

E-Levy finally takes effect from May 1.

The electronic transaction levy (E-Levy) is expected to support and revive ghana's economy as proposed by the government.

Although scores of Ghanaians kicked against the tax when it was proposed by the government saying" it would only collapse the work of mobile money vendors.

But, the government of the Republic believes the country will gain positive results when the Levy takes effect.

However, the tax is set to take effect from May 1, after consultations.

Moreover, the tax will affect, 
1. Same network wallet transfers
2. wallet transfers from one network to another 
3. Bank to wallet transfers
4. wallet to bank transfers 5. Bank to bank transfers on a digital platform.

The deduction is supposed to affect transactions above 100 Ghana cedis.
 
This is the message to alert momo users regarding the E-Levy which is supposed to take effect on Sunday 1st, May 2022. 

Dear Valued Customer, kindly is informed that the E-levy of 1.5% on electronic money transfer takes effect from 1st May 2022.
