Dumelo eyes Ayawaso West seat
Following the declaration of interest, the Ghanaian actor has launched his campaign for the NDC primaries in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.

The Ghanaian celebrated movie actor cum business mogul, John Dumelo is making a second attempt at the Ayawaso West Wuogon NDC primaries.
Following the declaration of interest, the Ghanaian actor has launched his campaign for the NDC primaries in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
The celebrity doubling as a politician made this known on Sunday, through a publicised artwork in which he announced his ‘second coming’. Speaking in an earlier interaction with the actor, he said he is engaging the party’s delegates and otherpublicizeders about his ambition. The priority, he indicated is to engage party delegates before going formally announce his candidature. In a Facebook post on Sunday, he said his decision follows “extensive consultation” with God, family and party faithful in the constituency. In 2020, Dumelo contested the same seat in Ayawaso West Wuogon lost to the NPP’s Lydia Alhassan. Despite his loss, he was praised for putting up a competitive ,fight. His announcement brings to a total of three aspirants in the upcoming primaries in the constituency.
