DROBO KIDS TRAVEL 4 MILES IN ORDER TO ATTEND KG EDUCATION IN LIMBO.

More than 90 students from Tain Drobo walk around 4 kilometers to Taino every day to attend basic education in the Bono region's Tain District.

In addition, over 100 children's kindergarten education is in jeopardy due to their inability to walk the 4 miles from Drobo to Tainoo attend the same school.

Residents, on the other hand, bemoaned the daily distance the children would have to trek to receive an education.

They claim they have no other option because it is the closest basic school to them.

They also expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of essential services in the neighborhood, such as a health facility, safe drinking water, and a road, among others.
They pleaded with the government and the Tain District Assembly to help them.

Meanwhile, Action Aid Ghana has built a KG block for the Drobo community as part of its social duties.

Mr. Sumaila Abdul Rahman, Director of Action Aid Ghana, said the program is part of their supplemental basic education projects to address such issues.

Bono Regional Minister Justina Awo Banahene, on her part, urged parents to look after their children. And he advised parents to instill our cultural values in their children alongside academics.

She urged members of the community to engage in communal labor to instill a maintenance culture on the land.
