Drivers And GPRTU In Fight Over Booking Fee At Kasoa Amidst Tension & Confusion
Fight has erupted between hundreds of the commercial drivers in the Kasoa Main Lorry Station in the Central and officials of Ghana Private Road and Transportation Union (GPRTU), amidst tension and confusion in the area affecting the transport operations.

The latest fight between the two follows as result of the illegal charged of the drivers of the booking of transportation fees by the officials of the
GPRTU.

Information available to Soireenews.com indicates that the drivers of the Kasoa were hesitating to pay the booking of transportation fees because the Central Regional Chairman of GPRTU, Alhaji Rahyino Shaibu Artey who has stepped down from his position didn't have the capacity to collect the fees from them.

They could not fathom why the current retirement Alhaji Rahyino Shaibu Artey would asked his men to be taking booking fee, the situation they described as illegal and stealing.
Speaking in an Kasoa based PINK FM monitored by Soireenews.com, some of the drivers indicated that communique from the headquarters of GPRTU says they shouldn't pay booking fee to anyone until new people are sent from office to do so.
Following this development, the Kasoa Police  commander, DSP Timothy Dassah and his men are at the scene making sure peace prevails.
