Dr. Mark-Oliver Kevor Denies Of Attacking David Dakudzi-Over Upcoming NDC Eastern Chairmanship Election
According to him, in late February this year, a respected senior member of the NDC informed him of an incident involving Mr. David Dakudzi, who had reportedly been assaulted at a mining site.

Eastern Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Ing. Mark-Oliver Kevor, has vehemently denied of orchestrating an attack on the NDC Eastern Regional Executive , Mr. David Dakudzi, supposedly because of his intention to contest the upcoming NDC Eastern Regional Chairmanship election.
Speaking in an interview with journalists, Dr Mark-Oliver Kevo stated that the allegations levelled against are not only entirely false but also deeply unfortunate and disappointing.
According to him, in late February this year, a respected senior member of the NDC informed him of an incident involving Mr. David Dakudzi, who had reportedly been assaulted at a mining site.
"Deeply concerned, I made several efforts to contact David directly but was unsuccessful. I then reached out to two of his close associates—Mr. Michael Kwashie and Mr. Noble Gblorkpor—who confirmed the incident but were clear that it had nothing to do with the Regional Minister or myself.
"They explained that the individuals involved were believed to be National Security operatives returning from an operation in the Abirem area with one Mr. Okai Mintah," he reaffirmed.
He explained that this same account was later corroborated by both the senior party member and the Regional Minister.
According to Mark-Oliver Kevo, he subsequently met Mr. Dakudzi at a funeral for the late mother of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Lower Manya Krobo, where he expressed his sympathies to him in person.
"That, to my knowledge, was the end of the matter—until these recent fabrications began circulating.
"Let me state clearly and unequivocally that: I have never been involved in any act of violence or intimidation against Mr. David Dakudzi," he further explained.
He clarified that "I have never visited any mining site connected to him, nor have I directed or incited anyone to interfere with his personal or business interests.
"I have no association—direct or indirect—with any Galamsey Task Force or National Security operatives in this context or otherwise.
"It is, therefore, deeply regrettable that such serious and baseless allegations are being peddled—especially when clothed in ethnic and religious undertones," Mark-Oliver Kevo stressed.
He added that "Our great party must remain anchored in its values of unity, democracy, and fairness.
He pointed out that "I am proud of the peaceful and respectful manner in which I have conducted myself throughout every internal party election, having twice been elected as Regional Secretary and now serving as Regional Chairman.
"My leadership has always been inclusive and unifying—ensuring that after every contest, we close ranks and work together in the collective interest of the party. It is this collaborative spirit, supported by the hard work of our entire regional team, that has led us to historic electoral victories.
"While anyone is entitled to contest future elections—as is their democratic right—it must be done with integrity, honesty, and a commitment to strengthening our party. We must reject the politics of misinformation, division, and personal destruction," he stated.
He stressed that "Let us rise above falsehoods and focus on what unites us as comrades—not what divides us."
