Dorfor And Volo Traditional Councils Inaugurated Amidst Jubilation 

The Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs has inaugurated the Dorfor and Volo Traditional Areas of the North Tongu District in the Volta Region into a Traditional Council.

The initiative formed part of efforts by government to enhance development at the traditional and rural communities.

This status will afford the areas the opportunity to whoo investors into the various communities while ensuring the availability of government presence to cater for the administrative needs of the area.

The inauguration which came off on Monday November 18, 2024 will see the Council office as per the Chieftaincy Act 759 being headed by a Paramount Chief who will be the  President of the Council and a Traditional Council Registrar employed by the Office of the Head of Civil Service. 

They will be provided with a full complement of the civil service office setup.
