Don’t wait for security issues to escalate - Security consultant to government 

A security consultant, Isaac Ayitey, has called on the government to find lasting solutions to security issues in the country before it degenerates to a scary level, saying “the country should anticipate for more crime issues as the population is increasing”.

Speaking in an interview with SoireeNews he said there should be a pragmatic approach to dealing with the menace and recommended that students should be taught to avoid crime-related activities.

Until the laws are strengthened to deal with offenders crime will continue, the security analyst stated and refuted the assertion by a senior psychologist, Prof. Joseph Osafo, that social distancing has contributed to criminal activities.

He dismissed the notion that social distancing has destroyed communal relations among people.
