He reportedly showed up at his office at the Audit Service Headquarters in Accra at 8:20 am amid tensions with the Audit Service Board.

According to the Board, Mr Domeevo's own Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) records show that he is a Togolese and not a Ghanaian, and also due for retirement.

According to the Board Chairman of the Audit Service, Professor Edward Dua Agyeman, documents available to the board indicates that Mr Domelevo was born on June 1, 1960, thus, he should have gone on retirement mid-2020.

In his reply, Domelevo explained that his grandfather, Augustine Domelevo, was a native of Ada in the Greater Accra Region but migrated to Togo and stayed at Agbatofe.

He also held that his date of birth is June 1, 1961, because the 1960 date was a mistake.

The Audit Service Board, however, said: "Observation of your responses and explanations contained in your above reference letter make your date of birth and Ghanaian nationality even more doubtful and clearly establishes that you have made false statements contrary to law."
