Division Brewing In Kpando NDC-Prosper Bani And NDC Deputy Volta Regional Youth Organiser Stand Accused
Former Chief of Staff, Mr. Prosper Douglas Bani
Information reaching Soireenews.com points to cracks within the rank-and-file of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Kpando Constituency of the Volta Region.
The development follows a sinister plot alleged to be orchestrated by a former Chief of Staff, Mr. Prosper Douglas Bani, who is believed to be using some self-seeking youth and members of the NDC in Kpando to take over the party.
According to sources, Mr. Bani and his team have adopted the strategy of using local media platforms and some online portal for their agenda.
It is also alleged that an independent candidate was also being sponsored to contest against the NDC parliamentary candidate in Kpando constituency.
Meanwhile Soireenews. com investigations have discovered that the agenda by Mr. Bani and his cohorts to ensure the current female MP loses her parliamentary seat during the 2020 general election.
And he was believed to have started the same scheme ahead of the 2024 general election, the sources said.
A radio programme dubbed “Akpini Morning Show” on Akpini Radio, a local FM station in Kpando which was monitored recently by DAILY Analyst, saw the names of Mr. Bani and the Deputy Volta Regional Youth Organiser of the NDC, Kwame Asamoah mentioned by a number of serial callers who called into the programme, stating that the two were causing divisions in the Kpando NDC.
In an audio recording from Akpini Radio, a caller who mentioned his name as Efo Kwesi, stated that Mr. Bani was currently using some members and supporters of the NDC to cause division within the party in Kpando.
Another serial caller who mentioned his name as Efo Michael from Korda within the Kpando constituency noted that some do not support the statement made by Mr. Kwasi to the effect that one Junior Asamoah and his colleagues were telling the supporters and members of the NDC to vote for former President John Dramani Mahama and vote for an independent candidate instead of the NDC candidate.
"We the supporters and members of the NDC in Kpando are not happy about the way some executives of the NDC in Kpando were campaigning against the incumbent MP," he stressed.
Mr. Michael went on to stress that their female MP has continued to work hard to bring the needed socio-economic development and growth to the various electoral areas within the constituency.
According to him, some of the social and infrastructural development achievements of the current MP were obvious for all to see.
"We must rather praise the good works or jobs doing of the MP in the constituency rather to sabotage her of not doing anything to improve the living conditions of the people in the area," he noted.
He called on all and sundry to rally behind the MP to continue to develop Kpando.
