The Eastern Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party has urged the public to ignore the circulated Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives list on the internet.

The Eastern Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party under the able Chairmanship of Honourable Kiston Akomeng Kissi wishes to state categorically and unequivocally that the list being circulated on social media purported to be the list of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives of the Eastern Region is FAKE and must be disregarded. 

The said FAKE list is believed to be causing apprehension and uneasiness among some party faithful in the Region. 

In some cases, the said the FAKE list has resulted in widespread and spontaneous jubilation among other Party Members in the Region. 

Mr David Prah, the Regional Communication Director of the party emphasized, that the prerogative to appoint MMDCEs lies squarely at the doorstep of the President of the Republic, according to the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana Local Governance Act of 2016, Act 936.

Going further, the Regional Party executives are, therefore, urging all Party Members to remain calm and wait for President H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to officially announce the genuine list.

In the meantime, the Regional executive wish to admonished all Members who are either jubilating or tensed to remain calm and wait for the President to officially announce the list of all MMDCEs

The Regional Executives have urged Party Members and the entire people of Eastern Region to disregard the said list on the social media and treat it with the contempt it deserves. 

He concluded, that the Regional Party will continue to encourage Members to join hands to work hard in order to support His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, his Vice H. E. Alhaji Dr Mahamadu Bawumia and the entire NPP Government to achieve the mandate given to the Party by the Ghanaian for another 4 years.

 DISREGARD THE PURPORTED EASTERN REGIONAL MUNICIPAL AND DISTRICT CHIEF EXECUTIVES LIST ON SOCIAL MEDIA, IT IS FAKE.
