Saint Joseph Junior High school situated at PTP in the Obuasi East District has become the new death trap awaiting its victim.

The school is situated not too far from the District Assembly office and its roof is on the verge of collapse after been abandoned for quite some time.

Honourable Ofosu Donkor, the Assembly Member for Kwabrafoso West and Chairman of the social services subcommittee at the Assembly explained the development is novel as the assembly has not officially been put on notice.

He, however, admitted the sight of the school is 'eyesore' and promised to pass on the information to the district chief executive, Hon Faustina Amissah to act expeditiously on it or risk a sorry sight.

Residents of Obuasi have begun pointing accusing fingers on government authorities saying they're not doing enough to ensure safety of their wards as others look elsewhere for better education for their wards.

It is worthy to note that the DCE for Obuasi East, Mad. Faustina Amissah and relevant stakeholders are working assiduously to deal with the situation.
