At the Circuit Court in Accra, self-described entrepreneur Diamond Appiah was detained and accused of engaging in a $30 000 fraudulent land transaction.

Diamond Appiah allegedly sold socialite Ayisha Modi a plot of land in East Legon Hills for $30,000, but she denied the allegations and was released on GHc300k bond after entering a not guilty plea.

According to the prosecutor, the complainant made several attempts to get her money back from the defendant but was unsuccessful. She then reported the matter to the police, who then arrested the defendant.

"She acknowledged the offense in her cautious statement for the investigation. She was charged with the offense following an investigation, and the prosecutor informed the court that she had been hauled before it.

The lawsuit will now be heard on February 8, 2023.
