His visit was aimed at monitoring the District Assembly and other Departments within the District to ensure that, their works are in conformity with the President's vision of building Ghana through Agriculture, Education and Health.

Deputy Minister of Local Government Pays Visit to Asunafo South District. 

The Deputy Minister of Local Government, Honourable Collins Ntim has paid a working visit to the Asunafo South District Assembly today 29th September 2022 in the Ahafo Region. 

His visit was aimed at monitoring the District Assembly and other Departments within the District to ensure that, their works conform with the President's vision of building Ghana through Agriculture, Education, and Health.

The Agric Department, Health Directorate, and the District Education Directorate made a PowerPoint presentation to highlight their key success stories that have been clinched in these areas as a result of the Government flagships programs such as Planting For and Jobs, Planting for Export, and Rural Development, Safety Net, Free Senior High School's double Track Systems, School Feeding programs, COVID 19 vaccinations and Agenda 111 in the connection and progress of the government business.

The challenges facing these departments were also left out but were discussed to find the way forward for the success of the various interventions.

The Honourable Deputy Minister addressed the Traditional authorities in the area assured them of helping solve those challenges put before him and also task these departments to always publicized government policies for all to take opportunities as such.

Nana Wereko Ampem, the Krontihene of Kukuom speaking on behalf of Kukuom Manhene, Osahene Kweku Aterkyi thanked Honourable Collins Ntim for his support to the District, notably his role in the Building of the new Assembly Block and the current Safety Net Program awarded to the District.

He further appeal to the Minister to support the departments in the challenges raised sooner or later.

The District Chief Executive of Asunafo South, Honourable Abuse Poku Frank also took the opportunity to thank the Traditional authorities for their support since his assumption of office and also highlighted the way forward for the Assembly to the Honourable Deputy Minister.

In attendance were the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Asamoah Damoah, District Director of Education, Madam Agnes Amihere, The Presiding Member, Mr. Ismail Mohammed, Assembly Members, Staff of the Assembly, Staff of Ghana Education Service, and Staff of Ghana Health Service.
