Dennis, Bonke Doubtful For Super Eagles Vs Sierra Leone

Emmanuel Dennis and Innocent Bonke are doubtful for Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.

The duo trained separately from the main squad at the practice pitch of the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, on Monday night, June 6, 2022.

Dennis recently recovered from an injury which forced him to miss Watford’s last three games last season.

The versatile forward came in as a second half substitute in the Super Eagles''''' 1-0 defeat to Ecuador last week.

Bonke is yet to fully shake off the injury he picked up in the first half of Nigeria’s friendly defeat against Mexico.

The team has enough cover in midfield and attack should both players fail to recover before the game on Thursday.

Thursday’s encounter is billed for the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
