Dede Ayew Won The 2022 Calcio Trade Ball Award

Ghana Black Star captain Andrew Dede Ayew has won the Order of the Stars Award at the Calcio 2022 Trade Ball.

The award seeks to honor individuals who were outstanding in the year in review in their respective fields. 

The Black Stars Captain, Ayew shared very heart-touching remarks upon emerging as the winner of the Calcio 2022 Trade Ball Award. 

He asserted, “Thank you for this honor, the highest at the CTB awards. It has been an eventful season of football for me. Club and international football have given me a lot. This award should be extra fuel. Thank you”.

Though Dede was unable to feature for the Black Stars as he would have expected in the Kirin Cup tournament in Japan, he is aware that his contributions to his team in the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast come 2023. 

The Al-said skipper put up an impressive performance in the 2021/2022 season. This might have accounted for him winning the 2022 Calcio Trade Ball Award.

Dede is expected to play a key role in Black Stars Qualification to the 2023 African Cup of Nations in the Ivory Coast.

And subsequently the Mundial in Qatar 2022. The World Cup is set to begin in early November and the one-time quarter finalist, the Black Stars are looking forward to making it past that stage come Qatar 2022.
