DISTRICT PERFORMANCE AND ASSESSMENT TOOL (DPAT)

Since 2018 the Government of Ghana has implemented a Performance Based Grant
System (PBGS) known as the District Assemblies Common Fund – Responsive Factor Grant (DACF-RFG) in collaboration with Development Partners and key stakeholders.

The programme assesses the performance of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) using the District Assembly Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT).
The assessment of MMDAs is part of efforts to improve the performance of District Assemblies in terms of efficiency, accountability and delivery of basic community services.
Assemblies that perform satisfactorily are financially rewarded to implement their
Medium-Term Development Plans (MTDPs) and Annual Action Plans (AAPs) which largely contribute significantly to the advancement of the socio-economic development of citizens.

In view of the above, the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development recruited a consultant to assess the performance of the Dormaa West District Assembly on Wednesday, 27th July 2022.
At the end of the assessment, the consultant lauded the Assembly for performing satisfactorily.

The assembly will, thus, receive the 2023 DPAT grant to develop the District.
