DCE Behind the Assault on Kwahu Pitiko Chief, Akwamuhene Declares

The Akwamuhene of Kwahu Pitiko traditional area, in the Kwahu Afram Plains in the Eastern Region, Nana Akuamoah Asomani has stated emphatically that the District Chief Executive of Kwahu South, Honorable Ofori is the main orchestration and solidly behind the Kontihene of Pitiko on the recent assault on the Pitiko chief.
The Akwamuhene in an interview with William Ofori Akwaboa this afternoon, directed his wrath towards the Kontihene and the District Chief Executive, saying these two people are currently untouchable in the district and the police will never arrest a single person who assaulted the chief of Pitiko in his house recently.
According to Nana Asomani, the attacks on the chief was a sign of disrespect to the Kwahuman Traditional Council and if urgent steps are not taken to address the issue and punish offenders of the act, it will bring the chieftaincy into disrepute.
The Akwamuhene bemoaned, that the Kontihene is more than a special aid to the DCE because he comes to every gathering with State car which belongs to the Chief Executive and whenever anyone reports his ungodly actions to the police, they are not bothered to even arrest a 'common mosquito' in the crime, adding that it will be suicidal for President Nana Addo to reappoint such person to lead the Kwahu South District.
The gang, numbering about 30 violently abducted Nana Frimpong Akoamire II and paraded him before the Krontihene of Pitiko Nana Adu Paako I, who admitted to sanctioning the attack on the Chief.
According to Nana Frimpong Akoamire II, the chief of Pitiko, "I was relaxing at home with obaapanin of Pitiko around 9 pm when the gang numbering about 30 forcefully started attacking me with machetes, locally made pistols, in the presence of the Queen mother and other family relatives".
"I asked them about their mission, but did not answer me, instead, subjected me to severe bearings which later on resulted in my admission to Attibie government Hospital after sustaining injuries in all over my body, Nana Lamented".
