Veteran musician, Praye Tietia, has instructed Shatta Wale to stop claiming that he is the richest artiste in Ghana presently.

Shatta Wale has developed a knack for bragging about all the riches that he has managed to "accumulate", labeling other musicians as poor and insisting that they could never be as wealthy as he has become over the years.

Praye Tietia, who gained his popularity from the well-known group Praye, has said that Shatta Wale could not possibly be the richest artiste in Ghana as there are other artists who have used their musical success to get more riches in the entrepreneurial area.

He name-checked, D black and Nhyiraba Kojo, who he knows are richer than Shatta Wale, but aren't as vocal as "Shatta Wale the loudmouth".

The veteran, who has been in the music industry for 17 years, said that he understands where Shatta Wale is coming from and what he's trying to do but admonished him to find better ways to do it. He said that he knows Shatta Wale is attempting to right the deficiencies in the music industry but he personally thinks that he's channeling his message in the wrong way by badmouthing other artistes and talking down on their achievements.

Praye revealed that his words were not meant to hurt Shatta Wale or to gain publicity. He has warned Shatta Wale to respect both his elders and his colleagues and to find a proper way to approach the problem as he is one of the most influential acts in the country.

He concluded by saying, only by unity can the problems be fixed, and Shatta Wale is not inspiring unity through his actions in any way.
