Czech President Petr Pavel To Embark On Historic Three-Day Visit To Ghana

In a landmark moment in Ghana's diplomatic history, President John Dramami Mahama will host the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, for a three-day state visit from April 8 to 10. 

This historic visit marks the first official trip to Ghana by a Czech President since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ghana and Czechoslovakia in October 1959.

The visit underscores the strengthening ties between the two countries and will be the first State Visit hosted by President Mahama since his return to office in January 2025. 

During his stay, President Pavel is expected to engage in bilateral talks with President Mahama, focusing on matters of mutual interest and cooperation.

In a bid to bolster economic ties, President Pavel will address a business forum, aimed at strengthening economic ties between Ghana and the Czech Republic. Additionally, he will inaugurate a Czech-funded health facility, demonstrating the ongoing collaboration between the two nations in the development sector.

To deepen his understanding of Ghana's rich heritage, President Pavel will visit significant landmarks, including the historic Osu Castle and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. As a gesture of goodwill, President Mahama will host a State Dinner in honor of President Pavel and his delegation, further solidifying the growing relationship between Ghana and the Czech Republic.
