Madam Justina said the rate at which accidents claim lives is heartbreaking and calls for caution to help fight the canker.

The minister was emphatic that drivers are disciplined but believed more needs to be done.
She implored them to comply with road traffic regulations to ensure sanity in the system.

The regional minister added that her outfit will continue to engage with stakeholders in the transport sector to harness quality service delivery.

She also cautioned long-distance drivers against energy-boosting products.
She again charged leaders of driver unions to ensure drivers have good rest before embarking on journeys at night.

The drivers among other issues appealed to the government to stabilize fuel prices by scrapping the numerous taxes on petroleum products.
