Covid-19: The Last three Regions in Ghana with No Cases

Ghana’s case count of the covid-19 disease stands at 5,530 with 24 deaths.

The Greater Accra and the Ashanti Regions remain the two major hotspot regions of the country, recording the highest numbers of infections - Greater Accra with 4204 cases, and Ashanti Region recording 788 cases so far.

Out of the 16 administrative regions of Ghana, only three have not recorded any COVID-19 case.

The regions are Ahafo, Savannah and Bono East.

This was disclosed by the Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Badu Sarkodie at a press briefing today [May 14, 2020] on Covid-19 updates.

Dr badu sarkodie noted that, in spite of the steady rise in cases, health officials are undertaking various measures to ensure the pandemic situation is dealt with

.He also hinted that, more covid-19 recoveries will be announced in the coming days.

 “Indeed, we have done quite significant number of persons, who have done the first test which is negative, and are waiting for the second test results to declare them fully recovered” he noted
