Dokpesi said his two-week ordeal at the hospital provided him with first-hand experience of the enormous challenges before Nigeria as a country.

He said; “We are better acquainted with the personal sacrifices many Nigerians are making to ensure that we collectively defeat this pandemic. This cuts across the policymakers, the care providers, and even the cleaners whose job puts them at constant risk of exposure."

While thanking many Nigerians for their goodwill messages, he appreciated the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire; and the management of the teaching hospital, amongst others for their support and care.

It was learnt that Dokpesi, his wife, three children, and other persons tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
