COVID-19: Nigeria's Tally Rises To 3,526, Highest Daily Record With 381 Cases
"Till date, 3526 cases have been confirmed, 601 cases have been discharged and 107 deaths have been recorded in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory," NCDC reveals.

Nigeria has reported an astounding 381 new cases of Coronavirus in the country.
This trumps the previous record of 245 set on May 4 and sends the total number of cases to 3,526.
Lagos got the highest ever daily tally for a state with 183 new cases. This surpasses Kano’s 92 cases set on May 1 and brings the total number of cases in Lagos to 1,491 representing 42.2% of total cases in the country.
Kano maintained its second place on the daily update with 55 new cases to bring its total tally to 482. Jigawa recorded an astounding 112% increase with 44 new cases to finish with 83 total cases in the state. For the first time in a long time, Abuja enjoyed a reprieve as the FCT didn’t get a single case.
Kogi and Cross River are yet to record their first case of Coronavirus.
The 381 new cases are reported from 17 states- Lagos(183), Kano(55), Jigawa(44), Zamfara(19), Borno(9), Bauchi(19), Katsina(11), Kwara(
, Kaduna(7), Gombe(6), Ogun(5),Sokoto(4), Oyo(3), Rivers(3), Niger(2), Akwa Ibom(1), Enugu(1), Plateau(1)
The NCDC conducted 1,284 new tests within the last 24 hours. While this is lower than 1,696 tests carried out the day before, it, however, means Nigeria has conducted more than 1,000 tests for the second consecutive day. This brings the total number of tests carried out in the country to 22,492.

The NCDC reported an impressive 67 new recoveries to bring the total number of discharged cases to 601. This sends the nation’s recovery rate rising for the third consecutive day, from 16.9% to 17%.
Four new Covid-19 deaths were recorded within the last 24 hours to bring the total number of deaths to 107, up from 104. This represents a death ratio of 3%, an improvement from 3.2% recorded the day before.
There are currently a total of 2,818 active cases in Nigeria representing 79.9% of total cases in the country.
On the global scene, there are about 3.9 million cases of coronavirus worldwide. More than 1.3 million of them have recovered while more than 270,000 have died. Over 2.3 million cases are currently active. Recovery rate is 34.2% while death rate stands at 6.9%.
