COVID-19: Nigeria Tally Nears 87,000 With 1,016 New Cases

The NCDC said that the new infections were reported from 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Nigeria has recorded 1,016 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the country's total confirmed cases to 86,576.

The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this on Wednesday night via its twitter account.

The health agency confirmed that eleven patients died as a result of COVID-19 related complications in the last 24 hours.

The NCDC said that the new infections were reported from 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with 1278 deaths recorded

''Our discharges today include 537 community recoveries in FCT, 459 in Lagos State and 78 in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.
