Covid-19 Isolation Center commissioned in Ahafo Region

The Ahafo Regional Minister, Honourable George Boakye has urged Ghanaians to support the biggest investment in the health sector, which is the Agenda 111 under the Nanan administration.

The Ahafo Regional Minister, Honourable George Boakye, has commissioned an isolation centre for the St. Johns of God Hospital, Duayaw Nkwanta  Municipality in the Ahafo Region.

The ten (10) bed ultra-modern isolation centre was funded by the Newmont Ghana Gold Company Limited.

 Honourable George Boakye commended the management and staff of the hospital as well as workers of the Ghana Health Service for the great service they keep rendering to the people of Ahafo.

He was impressed with the management and workers for their commitment and selfless services during these critical COVID-19 periods.

The Minister reassured of the President's vision and commitment towards the health of every Ghanaian and hence lauded his numerous interventions during this COVID-19 period which has led to saving more lives, that has been commended worldwide. 

Mr George Boakye urged Ghanaians to support the biggest investment in the health sector.

The Minister expressed gratitude to the Newmont Ahafo mines for their commitment towards the development of the Ahafo Region in diverse ways.

Mr Boakye hastened to add that, since Ahafo is the backbone of the Newmont company, a lot is still expected from them regardless.

He advised residents of the Ahafo North area to cooperate with the processes to open the company's plant site in the area since his office will ensure that both property owners and the Mining company will have mutual benefits.
