Covid-19: Ghana’s Cases Spike to 6,964 with 2,097 Recoveries
The death toll still stands at 32.
Ghana has confirmed 156 new cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) bringing the total case count to 6,964 as of May 24th, 2020.
This was disclosed by the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma Aboagye at a press briefing today [26th May 2020] on covid-19 updates.
Breaking down recent statistics, Dr Kuma Aboagye said the cases were identified in 5 out of the 16 regions in Ghana.
He noted that, from the recent statistics;
Greater Accra recorded 72 new cases
Western Region is second with 57 new cases
Central Region reported 13 new cases
Volta Region reported an increase of 10 cases
Ashanti Region reported 4 new cases.
