Court grants unemployed man, a GHS 20,000 bail with two sureties

The Ashaiman circuit court has granted a 22-year old unemployed man to a bail sum of GHS20,000. The case was adjourned to 21/06/2023 for mention.

The Ashaiman circuit court has granted a 22-year old unemployed man to a bail sum of GHS20,000. The case was adjourned to 21/06/2023 for mention.

However, the police was ordered to file disclosures. Collins Ayomanor, a 22-year old unemployed is before the court for stabbing a shop attendant.

Prosecution:Chief Inspector Samuel Aperweh presenting D/Constable Richard Aidoo Investigative Case told the court that the complainant, Bernard Osei Boateng is a-23 year shop attendant residing at Solomon City while the accused person, Collins Ayomanor is a-22 year old unemployed also residing at Solomon City.

Chief Inspector Samuel Aperweh told the court that the complainant's mother owns a shop at Solomon City where he is the shop attendant and accused person is a customer.

Chief Inspector Samuel Aperweh said the accused person sometimes credits items from the complainant.

Chief Inspector Samuel Aperweh told the court that on May 7,2023, the accused person went to the shop with the girlfriend and bought drinks from the complainant. He told the court that after taking the drinks, the complainant demanded for the money but the accused person didn't have money at that time and the complainant was unwilling to let accused person go without making payment but finally agreed to credit the drinks to the accused person.

Chief Inspector Samuel Aperweh further told the court that the accused person left the shop and returned few minutes later with the money.

He told the court that the accused person then confronted the complainant for disgracing him in the presence of his girlfriend due to his earlier attitude. Chief Inspector Samuel Aperweh told the court that the confrontation led to exchange of words between the two and in the process the accused person took a bread knife lying in the shop and stabbed complainant's right hand several times.

He said the accused person was subsequently arrested to the Kanewu Police station where a report was made. Chief Inspector Samuel Aperweh told the court that a police medical report form was issued to complainant for treatment which he returned duly endorsed.

He said after investigations, accused person was charged with the offence and put before this honorable court.
