Counting of ballot papers at the various polling station is ongoing as few numbers have started coming in.

The exercise commenced across the country at 7 am and was brought to a close per the Electoral Commission rules.

12 presidential candidates are contesting to become the next leader of Ghana - Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo (NPP), John Dramani Mahama (NDC), Christian Kwabena Andrews (GUM), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet (CPP), Akua Donkor (GFP), Henry Herbert Lartey (GCPP), Hassan Ayariga (APC), Percival Kofi Akpaloo (LPG), David Asibi Ayindenaba Apasera (PNC), Brigitte Akosua Dzogbenuku (PPP), Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings (NDP) and Alfred Kwame Asiedu Walker, (Independent Candidate).

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, John Boadu in an interview with the media has assured that they will wait for the Electoral Commission to declare the results without any interference regardless of measures they have put in place to collate results.
