COVID-19 has taken three lives - two males and a female at the Tamale Teaching hospital leaving several others in critical condition.

According to the Acting Public Relations Officer of Tamale Teaching Hspital, Mr Misbaw Mohammed, 544 Covid-19 samples have been taken from January 1 to February 2, 2021, this year, and out of that, 77 are confirmed positive for the virus.

He told that an eight-month-old baby also tested positive for covid~19, contracting it from parebts who earlier were found with the virus.

Mr Misbawu Mohammed Mahamoud updated that the eight-months-old baby was asymptomatic and has fully recovered together with mother and father.

He advised the general public on the need to adhere to the various protocols to be safe from contracting the novel pandemic.
