Coronavirus: Ghana’s Case Count Crosses 20,000 Mark; Death Toll Now 122

Ghana’s covid-19 case count has increased by 685 to 20,085 as of July 5, 2020.

This was confirmed by the Ghana Health Service via its website for Covid-19 updates.

Per the latest figures, five more have succumbed to the disease bringing the death toll to 122.

The covid-19 recovery count has also increased to 14,870.

Ghana’s active cases as of July 5, 2020 are, 5,093.

Meanwhile, Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo has gone into self-isolation over fears of being exposed to an “inner circle member” who contracted the coronavirus disease.’

A statement from the Information Minstry said, although President Akufo-Addo has tested negative for the virus, he has still decided to self-isolate “out of the abundance of caution.”
