Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has urged her fellow celebrities to make their future donations in secret to the poor, needy and orphan in the society, and that they should not publicize it like some people have been doing.

She stated that it is the deeds that are done in secrete that God blesses and since his eye sees everything there is no loss when things are donated in secret, only massive gain.

She kicked against the practice that some of her fellow Ghanaian celebrities have been observing, donating to the public with the media around them and with the eyes of the whole community upon them, claiming that such acts are not needed.

She took to her Twitter page to relay the message to her colleagues as she said, “Pls donate to the poor/needy/widows/orphans etc, dont let an eye see it when you do, God in heaven sees it!this is how God our Father in Heaven blesses! most churches/pastors will use your money for their luxurious lifestyles. God sees and knows our hearts.”

Nelson’s post follows the many donations that have been done by some celebrities which were heralded with publicity.

For instance, Fella Makafui earlier wrote that she and her husband Medikal were going to donate to a group, and she shared photos of the item.

Musician Criss Waddle also disclosed that he was donating hand sanitizers to some hospitals and individuals in Accra and Kumasi. However, Nelson believes this is not the right thing to do.
