The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has laid a foundation stone for the commencement of the National Cathedral in the capital Ghana on Thursday, March 5, 2020.

Speaking at the third launch and fundraising ceremony on January 30, 2020 at the Church of Pentecost, A.T Nartey Temple, Bantama Kumasi, the motive behind building such an edifice is to show gratitude to God for preserving the life of Ghanaians since independence inspite of the challenging circumstances in the sub-region.

The Cathedral revealed by Nana Akufo Addo during the laying of the foundation stone “will be the rallying point for the Christian community to come together to worship, to pray and to promote deep national conversations on the role of faith in building Ghana.
