The late Felix Bremata's co-workers claim he hasn't reported working for the past three days and seeing his lifeless body in a river was a surprise to them.

22-year-old Felix Bremata, personnel of Cocoa Pollination who currently reside at Assin Dompim in the Assin Fosu Municipality but comes from Sienchem in the Assin North District has been found dead in River Onwa this morning at Assin Dompim.

Upon further inspection of the body, a cut was found on his head with blood oozing from his eyes. His coworkers claim he hasn't reported working for the past three days and seeing his lifeless body in a river was a surprise to them.

Meanwhile, the Central Regional Soireenews Correspondent, Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful spoke with the Committee Chairman of the Dompim, Mr Akwasi Nyarkoh and he explained that Bremata came to the community in January and worked with COCOBOD.

He revealed that Bremata had established himself in the town and even started a rice farm near the river.

Mr Akwasi Nyarkoh told that he suspects the deceased was trapped by his net used to catch fish in the same river.

Eyewitnesses and some of the workers also lamented about the unfortunate incident that the deceased has not been seen since last Friday until his lifeless body was found in the river.

Assin Fosu Divisional Police Command has conveyed the body to St. Francis Xavier Hospital for preservation, the Divisional Crime Officer, DSP Daniel Kwabena Darkoh has confirmed and investigations are underway.
