The Nkoranza South Police commander ASP Wisdom Diaba has urged mobile money vendors to suspend late-night operations and close early in the evening thus 6 pm to avoid robbery attacks targeting their businesses.
Last year, they recorded countless robbery attacks on mobile money vendors in Nkoranza and its environs where some robbers attacked mobile money vendors with one being shot and has not recovered till now.
Following the surge in robbery attacks targeting the mobile money business, he stated that it would be necessary for the vendors to close early to avoid such incidents.
He said the police cannot provide security personnel to each mobile money vendor, but they do their best with their patrol team to curb this menace.
