The progenitor of Ghanaian hiplife, Reggie Rockstone, due to the recent rapid spread of the COVID-19 in some institutions, has asked the Ghanaian government to undertake the most sensible action of closing down all the schools in the country.

This comes after The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Sekyere Kumawu District in the Ashanti Region, Hon Samuel Addai Agyekum, closed down the Dwenti SHS.

Reggie Rockstone opined that there's no education without life a short while after 55 girls from Accra Senior High school recently tested positive for COVID-19.

An upsurge in the number of coronavirus infections had transpired a short while after the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo ordered final years and second years on the gold track system in the Senior High School and final years in Junior High to return to school to write their final tests.

"Why? Because of education? But if you die, the education is over. That’s a no brainer. I don’t need to be in no politics to know that. They should close the schools.” he said in a recent interview in the studios at Hitz FM

“Education is infinite, education is not age bound. One year out of school, two years out will not kill us. However, corona will kill us and once they remain in that space, transmission is high. Spread is high. It’s time to take a stance and make a decision that life is better than the education you’re fighting for. What’s the point of being educated and you dying along the way,” he concluded.
