The Upper West Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service has grabbed a brand new Navara pickup vehicle from the Church of Pentecost.

The Area Head of Church of Pentecost in Wa, Apostle Daniel Nii Tetteh Tackie donated the car to the Command as part of its social co-operate responsibility in the Wa area.

The Regional Command has put in several measures in place in quest of fighting crime in the region including free escort to all busses travelling within the region especially on market days.

The Command has also intensified its patrols for both day and night across the region to help climb down crime.

The donation by the church is to complement the Command's effort in fighting crime in the region because every institution wants to operate in a peaceful environment.

The Police in a press release cautioned people who call them on false alarm to desist from such acts since they are on a high alert to deal with such miscreants.
